Hello everyone! I'm Michelle Cook, your new Program Manager for Beyond the Dome. Originally from Dallas, Texas, I've recently been in Glasgow, Scotland, earning my PhD in Comparative Politics and International Relations at the University of Glasgow and working as a Student Experience and Employability Advisor, as well as a Graduate Teaching Assistant in Politics and Public Policy. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Political Science and a Master of Public Policy.

My passion for helping others has driven me to various roles across government, academic, and non-profit sectors, giving me a well-rounded perspective on social issues and industry sectors. Promoting and advocating for others and assisting them in reaching their full potential is some of the most rewarding work I've done and something I look forward to continuing.

I thrive in fast-paced environments and love tackling challenges—my colleagues often call me a “game day player.” Over the years, I've worn many hats. As the Director of Communications for an elected official in Orange County, I managed everything from public relations to policy analysis, revamped the internship program, and led significant county-wide initiatives.

I’m excited to join the BTD team and advance the Beyond the Dome program. I can't wait to make a positive impact together!

In my spare time, I love traveling, exploring, and meeting new people.
