ND’s early music vocal ensemble presents “Abend-Musique LIII: Fragments of Medieval Chant Rescued from Book Bindings.” The fragments in question are in the manuscripts collection of the Smithsonian Institution. Some of the 15 fragments contain nearly complete chants, with only a few neumes trimmed off. Others preserve merely a small portion of a chant.
