-

Location: Hesburgh Library 715J

The Medieval Institute and the Keough-Naughton Institute for Irish Studies present a graduate seminar with Marie-Luise Theuerkauf, O'Donovan Scholar at the School of Celtic Studies, Dublin Institute for Advanced Studies. In 2012, Theuerkauf was the inaugural Murphy Irish Exchange Fellowship to the University of Notre Dame where she carried out research at the Keough-Naughton Institute for Irish Studies; she completed her Ph.D. at University College Cork. Theuerkauf will speak on her current work with the corpus of placename lore known as Dindshenchas Érenn (Lore of Imminent Places) and on how to move from dissertation to postdoc research and beyond.

Lunch will follow the seminar.
