The editorial team and staff at Notre Dame’s scholarly journal Religion & Literature present a lecture and seminar by Shira Wolosky, professor of American studies and English literature at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
Wolosky has published widely on topics ranging from poetics to literary theory to philosophy and ethics to cutting-edge feminism as well as religion and literature. She will deliver a lecture titled “The Metaphysics of Language: Levinas on the Names of God,” on November 2 at 5 p.m. in McKenna Hall, rooms 100-104. A reception will follow in the McKenna Hall Atrium.
On November 3rd, at 12:30 p.m., she will conduct a seminar leading on from the lecture titled “Negative Theology: The Values of Language,” in ND Room 202, LaFortune Student Center.
