The Institute for Latino Studies presents a lecture by Sam Quiñones. A Los Angeles-based freelance journalist and author of three books of narrative nonfiction, Quiñones will discuss his latest book titled Dreamland: The True Tale of America’s Opiate Epidemic.
Quiñones, who worked for the L.A. Times for 10 years, is a veteran reporter on immigration, gangs, drug trafficking, the border and Mexico. He lived and wrote in Mexico from 1994 to 2004.
