-

Location: 424 Flanner Hall

Marie-Louise Coolahan of the National University of Ireland, Galway, will present “The Reception and Circulation of Early Modern Irish Women’s Writing.”

Coolahan is principal investigator of a major new research project: RECIRC: The Reception and Circulation of Early Modern Women’s Writing, 1550-1700, funded by the European Research Council. She also participates in the project “Women’s Poetry in Ireland, Scotland and Wales, 1400-1800” (based in Aberystwyth University and funded by the Leverhulme Trust).

Her talk will outline the ideas behind both projects and discuss how they will impact our understanding of women’s writing in early modern Ireland.
