Rev. John I. Jenkins, C.S.C., president of the University, invites all Notre Dame students, faculty, and staff to attend the campus-wide Opening Mass and Picnic on Tuesday, August 26. On this important occasion, the University will gather as a community, welcome new members, and ask God’s blessing on our endeavors in the coming year.
Mass will begin at 5:30 p.m. in the Joyce Center’s Purcell Pavilion, with a procession of faculty and student leaders beginning at 5:20 p.m. Following Mass, there will be a picnic on DeBartolo Quad, where music and entertainment are planned.
