Azareen Van der Vliet Oloomi

Oloomi holds an MFA from Brown University, where she won three of the four literary prizes awarded to graduate students. Her forthcoming novel, Fra Keeler, will be published by The Dorothy Project (Chicago). She is at work on a second novel influenced by Iranian cinema and in conversation with ancient texts and the Qur’an. She was awarded a Fulbright Fellowship to study the work of Catalan writer Joseph Pla and has written a series of articles for Words Without Borders on Israeli and Palestinian writers and artists.
