Symposium and Panel Discussion: Exploring and Examining the Life and Legacy of Former President Ronald Reagan

This discussion will feature panelists who worked closely with Reagan during his presidency and will focus on his domestic and economic policies and how the lessons learned during the Reagan years can be applied to the current economic climate. In addition, the panelists will offer their memories of working with the United States' 40th president. Panelists include: * Edwin Meese, former attorney general of the United States * James Burnley, former U.S. Secretary of Transportation * Manley Johnson, former vice chairman of the Federal Reserve Board of Governors * James Miller, former director of the Office of Management and Budget

The panel will be moderated by journalist Judy Woodruff of PBS Newshour and Bloomberg News. Held during what would have been President Reagan’s 100th birthday, this event is sponsored by the University of Notre Dame’s Rooney Center for the Study of American Democracy and the Ronald Reagan Foundation.
