A mother’s passing sends two Quebecois siblings on a journey to the Middle East to uncover the secrets of their family history. Denis Villeneuve’s Academy Award nominated adaptation of Wajdi Mouawad’s celebrated play examines the atrocities of war on a deeply personal level.
The screening will be introduced and commented on by professors Osama Abi-Mershed, Georgetown University, and Vincent Desroches, Western Michigan University.
