Anna M. Nogar, assistant professor, Hispanic Southwest Studies, University of New Mexico

Professor Nogar completed her graduate studies in Hispanic literature and Mexican American studies at the University of Texas at Austin in 2008. Her current research examines the evolution of a subversive transatlantic miracle narrative from the 17th to the 21st century using a Mexican American cultural studies approach. Professor Nogar enjoys researching and teaching on the sociopolitical function of bicultural texts and the recasting of the colonial in the present day.
