Classics Research Seminar: Intertextual Ekphrasis in Euripides

Isabelle Torrance, assistant professor, Department of Classics, University of Notre Dame

Torrance will speak on the plays of Euripides and his literary devices. Professor Torrance specializes in archaic and classical Greek literature and culture, especially Greek tragedy and religion. She is also interested in the reception of classical myth in later literature.

Wine, soft drinks, and snacks will be served to accompany the discussion after the presentation.
