The Taming of the Shrew

-

Location: Main Building quad (in front of the Gold Dome)

The famous story of a willful daughter “tamed” by a boorish gold-digger, Shakespeare’s The Taming of the Shrew is a hilarious exploration of the trials of courtship and the power of love. Watch the relationship of Kate and Petruchio—a seemingly incompatible couple—transform from loathing into something that just might be love. Presented outdoors in a clever adaptation, The Taming of the Shrew is performed by students from the University of Notre Dame, Saint Mary’s College, and several other universities across the nation. These performances are perfect for a picnic, and a great way to enjoy a warm summer evening with the entire family.
