As part of the celebration of the 20th Anniversary of the Fall of the Berlin Wall, the Department of German and Russian and the Center for the Study of Languages and Cultures invite you to visit and view the traveling photo exhibit, “Ikonen einer Grenzanlage,” (Icons of a Border Installation.) This exhibit is the result of a semester-long project by students at the Institute for Media Science at the University of Paderborn, Germany. Equipped with cameras and recording devices the students searched for visible, audible, and even psychological traces of the Wall in today’s Berlin.
This Exhibit comes to Notre Dame through the generosity of the Goethe Institut and will be on display from November 30 – December 16, 2009, at the Center for the Study of Languages and Cultures, Room 329, DeBartolo Hall.
Sponsored by the Department of German and Russian Languages and Literatures, Center for Study of Languages and Culture, and the Goethe-Institut.
