In Kenya, the bride wealth system is very important. One is considered married after bride wealth/dowry is paid to the bride's family. In this language table hosted by the CSLC’s Swahili FLTA, Jossy Mutisya, we will discuss all things “dowry” in Kenya and other parts of Africa.
