The fact that there is a connection between gender and violence is easily observable. The challenge is to understand how the many levels and systems that interconnect gender and violence are constructed, maintained and enacted. We need that understanding if we are to move our hearts and our worlds to the place that Mark Nagler refers to as "ever-widening circles of compassion."
Mark Gunty, Concurrent Assistant Professor in Sociology and an analyst in the Office of Strategic Planning and Institutional Research., will present this lecture.
