EAP Workshop: US Classroom Culture

-

Location: 302 DeBartolo

In this workshop, we will discuss the cultural values that influence U.S. classrooms and how they are manifest in classroom behavior and expectations. We then explore how international students and instructors can effectively guide classroom discussions and connect with students, as well as how they can participate in academic discussions themselves.

EAP Workshops, hosted by the CSLC, provide opportunities for international students to improve their English language proficiency and cultural knowledge in a way that directly supports their academic goals. Each 75-minute workshop is designed to be hands-on with opportunities for demonstration, discussion, and practice.
