Lecture: Got Married, Bought Solar - Which Was the Bad Decision?

-

Location: Geddes Hall, Andrews Auditorium

What do getting married and buying solar panels have in common? Among other things, they are both difficult decisions when done for the first time. They are high risk, involve significant investment, and it may take a lifetime to determine if the decision was a good one.

George S. Howard, professor emeritus in Psychology, explores the complexities of convincing ourselves to invest in solar as individuals and as a society. By asking the right questions and understanding the options, a fraught decision can be made less so. The author of many books and articles that investigate ecological psychology, Howard also has hands-on business experience through his interaction with Inovateus Solar.

This event is sponsored by ND Energy and The Department of Psychology.
