This talk will focus on the role of the two major parties in the post-1992 elections in Ghana and how they represent the “big tents” whose trajectory was set at Ghana's founding. The discussion will include an analysis of election outcomes and personal survey data that support the contentions of an enduring two-party structure and democratic maturation.
Minion Kenneth Chauncey "K.C." Morrison is a professor in the School of Public Policy and Administration at the University of Delaware. A distinguished scholar of both comparative and American politics, Morrison has conducted research on three continents, exploring democratic participation and electoral politics in the American South as well as in Brazil and in Ghana.
