Walk the Walk Week: Space for Writing Your Stories

-

Location: Snite Museum of Art

Nigerian novelist Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie once said, “Many stories matter. Stories have been used to dispossess and to malign. But stories can also be used to empower, and to humanize. Stories can break the dignity of a people. But stories can also repair that broken dignity.”

This event will allow participants to preserve and share their stories of diversity and inclusion. It is presented by the Department of Africana Studies and the Snite Museum of Art as part of “Walk the Walk Week,” a series of events to reflect on the legacy of Martin Luther King Jr. and encourage dialogue about diversity and inclusion.

This event is free and open to the public. No RSVP required.
