An Evening of Poetry with Dan Vera

Letras Latinas, the literary initiative of the Institute for Latino Studies (ILS), presents an evening of poetry with Dan Vera, author of Speaking Wiri Wiri.

Vera’s book was the inaugural winner of the Letras Latinas/Red Hen Poetry Prize, which supports the publication of a second or third book by a Latino/a poet in the United States. Professor Orlando Menes served as the judge and will be introducing Vera. There will be books available for purchase and a book signing following the reading.

A pre-reading reception will be held at 6:15 PM on the second floor of McKenna Hall, East Lounge.
