Professor and Painter Julie Heffernan will give a presentation in the Annenberg Auditorium on Thursday, November 8th.

Julie Heffernan is an internationally acclaimed painter who employs a variety of painterly techniques from Old Master to early modernist to create fantastically hybridized contemporary narrative paintings. Her work has been written about in Art in America, ArtForum, Modern Painters, The New York Times, The Chicago Tribune, and The New Yorker among many others. Selected collections include, Zabludowicz Art Trust, London, UK; Virginia Museum of Fine Art, Richmond, VA; Norton Museum of Art, West Palm Beach, FL; Columbia Museum of Art, SC; and Knoxville Museum of Art, Knoxville, TN.

She is currently Associate Professor of Art and Design at Montclair State University in Montclair, NJ.
