Sam Lucas, professor of sociology at the University of California, Berkeley, will speak on “Discrimination and Education in the United States.” Prof. Lucas is the co-founder of the Berkeley-Stanford Inequality Seminar, established in 2006-07, to provide an opportunity for faculty in the two universities to come together to discuss issues of poverty and inequality.
