This talk focuses on the unique autobiographical work of seven contemporary women writers from Algeria. These remarkable writers embody the diversity of their generations and place of origin, with varying ethnic, linguistic, racial, and religious backgrounds. They all incorporate personal details into written work that convincingly speaks to the experience of others, bearing witness to and demonstrating respect for the numerous women and men whose stories have touched them.
