Director Margarethe von Trotta re-teams with actress Barbara Sukowa (Marianne and Juliane, Rosa Luxemburg) to bring the fascinating story of Benedictine nun, Hildegard von Bingen, to life. An accomplished writer, musician, and scientist, von Bingen drew from her visions of God to command and advance the role of women within the Church in the 12th century. Trailer
