Professor Kent Emery has organized a workshop for an international group of scholars interested in the history of medieval universities. These scholars are collaborating on a project to complete and disseminate the research of Abbot Astrik Gabriel, former director of the Medieval Institute, whose legacy of books and research papers provides a rich source of material. In addition to conducting their own collaborative research, the participants will offer papers in a public seminar.
