Imagine a World is Beyond the Dome’s flagship innovation competition for Arts & Letters students—and a chance to turn what you’re already learning into real-world impact.
This year’s theme, Humans First in the Age of AI / Innovation for Realists, challenges you to identify a human-centered problem, design a feasible modern solution, and communicate why it matters. Along the way, you’ll build skills employers and grad programs care about most: critical thinking, interdisciplinary problem-solving, practical AI use, and confident storytelling.
This year we are partnering with Mike Bechtel ’98, former Chief Futurist at Deloitte and SXSW keynote speaker. Students will also receive guidance from industry experts, connect with alumni and professionals, and showcase their ideas in a supportive, high-impact environment.
Key Dates:
3 Virtual Workshops: Monday, February 9th; Monday, February 23rd; and Monday, March 2nd 5:00pm (via zoom)
Networking Event: Friday, March 20th
Competition Day: Saturday, March 21st
If you want to stand out, grow your network, and prove that human-centered thinking still matters in the age of AI, this is your starting point.
