Walk the Walk Week 2026: Reentry Simulation

-

Location: Remick Commons, Visitation Hall (View on map )

White text "REENTRY SIMULATION" overlays a green textured surface, partially revealing a "LIFE CARD" document. The card details living expenses and appointments, showing "Probation $30/month", "Treatment $15/visit", and "Food $25/week" within a weekly grid.

This student-oriented simulation will immerse participants in the lived experience of individuals returning to our community from prison to develop a better understanding of the systemic barriers they face, as well as the resilience it takes to overcome them. The goal is for participants to both comprehend the difficulty of this reality, and cultivate a deeper understanding of and a stronger sense of accompaniment for our neighbors who are justice-impacted in an enjoyable, fast-paced, and meaningful experience for participants.

Come at 12:30 for opening remarks and brief instructions, then proceed to the activity.

There are limited spaces available, so please RSVP!

This event is hosted by the Institute for Social Concerns.
