VIRTUAL Higgins FILM CLASSics: "The Devil and Miss Jones" (1941)

-

Location: virtual discussion via Zoom

The Higgins Labor Program's FILM CLASSics series goes virtual, teaming up with the DeBartolo Performing Arts Center's Zoom Back Camera -- an ad hoc movie club enabling you to watch a film on your own time and then join a scheduled online discussion to learn more about the film and why a friend of the Browning Cinema loves it. DPAC cinema programmer Ricky Herbst serves as host.

On Thursday, April 2, at 8 p.m. EDT, Dan Graff, Director of the Higgins Labor Program, will join Ricky to discuss a Hollywood labor comedy classic, 1941's The Devil and Miss Jones, starring the delightful duo of Jean Arthur and Charles Coburn.

Joining Graff will be Sarah Lyons (ND '09), Research Analyst for UNITE HERE (Local 1 in Chicago), to provide some perspective on the unprecedented challenges service workers are facing right now.

The Devil and Miss Jones is rentable/streamable at various internet locations. Join the livestream discussion here.
