The Department of German and Russian Languages and Literature invites you to "Inexpressible Insight: The Edges of Consciousness in the Philosophy of Meister Eckhart and Nicolaus Cusanus," a presentation by Prof. Dr. Annika Hand and Max Kade (Visiting Professor).
Philosophical findings are usually formulated in logical language. However, our consciousness grasps far more than facts, which are immediately comprehensible to us in a structured way: in dreams, meditation, and contemplation, consciousness opens up border areas of the recognizable and the sayable. The lecture is addressed to philosophers, psychologists, theologians, musicians, in short: to all those who are familiar with these edges in one way or another.
