Arts & Letters: First Year Masters and PhD Career Conversation

-

Location: Duncan Student Center (526)

Becoming comfortable and confident in your first year can feel daunting. Learning about, utilizing, and maintaining connections with all of the resources and support systems on campus can become overwhelming at times. Thinking about securing a job that fits your values, interests, skills and personality by the end of your time at Notre Dame can seem light years away. However, the process to find a “best-fit” career, employer, and position can be semesters and years in the making. Join Arts & Letters Graduate Career Consultant (Erik Simon) and other first year PhD and Masters students to engage in an open discussion about the challenges and successes of navigating your first year, while strategically developing and maintaining your short and long-term career goals.

This is a BYOL (Bring Your Own Lunch) event with the first hour being committed to group discussion, and the second hour being utilized for 1-1 quick conversations with Erik. Also, consider attending other upcoming events with Erik to discuss career development topics specific to your unique background and goals:

Open to all first year PhD and Masters students in Arts & Letters (RSVP at gradconnect.nd.edu/register/myfirstyear).

Questions: Erik Simon (eriksimon@nd.edu ; 574-631-1892)
