-

Location: Browning Cinema, DeBartolo Performing Arts Center

Directed by Thaddeus O’Sullivan, Citizen Lane is an innovative mix of documentary and drama that delivers a vivid and compelling portrait of Hugh Lane (1875-1915 - an Irish art dealer), one of the most fascinating and yet enigmatic figures in modern Irish history.

Professor Morna O'Neill, who received her undergraduate degree from Notre Dame and her doctorate from Yale University, will introduce the film and participate in Q&A afterwards. Now an associate professor of art history at Wake Forest University, she was a contributor to the film. She is the author of Hugh Lane: The Art Market and the Art Museum, 1893–1915, which will be available for sale at the screening.
