The three imposing and passionate violin sonatas of Robert Schumann are curiously little-known, despite being the mature work of such a pivotal mind. The internationally acclaimed duo of guest violinist Jennifer Frautschi and ND piano professor John Blacklow are joined by ND theory professor Peter Smith, a leading scholar who has been seminal in the interpretive analysis of this particular repertoire.
