Catherine Jackson; postdoctoral research associate; Reilly Center for Science, Technology, and Values

Jackson will give an informal presentation of her research. Please bring your lunch.

Jackson received her first Ph.D. in organic chemistry from Cambridge University and her second Ph.D. in history of science from University College London. She was most recently a Gordon Cain Teaching Fellow at the Chemical Heritage Foundation.

She is currently working on a manuscript entitled Material World: Analysis, Synthesis, and the Making of Modern Chemistry. Her previous publications include an edited volume (with Hasok Chang) called An Element of Controversy: The Life of Chlorine in Science, Medicine, Technology, and War (British Society for the History of Science, 2007).
