Location: Crossroads Gallery, 217 S. Michigan Street, South Bend, Ind.

The Institute for Latino Studies proudly presents: “Soldaderas y Adelitas y otras mujeres revolucionarias/Women Revolutionists and Other Revolutionary Women,” featuring the artist Esperanza Gama. Gama is an internationally renowned artist who has established an aesthetic based on her Mexican heritage and experience growing up in Mexico.

The gallery reception is being held in honor of the 100th anniversary of the Mexican Revolution. The exhibition displays works that pay tribute not only to the women of the Mexican Revolution but also to all women who have struggled anonymously to realize their dreams. Also on display is an ofrenda honoring the Mexican Revolution.
