2010 Terrence R. Keeley Vatican Lecture: Archbishop Reinhard Marx

His Excellency Reinhard Marx, Archbishop of Munich and Freising.

The lecture, entitled “The Social Message of the Church in the Context of Contemporary Challenges,” is free and open to the public.

Archbishop Marx is also scheduled to preside at the 11:30 a.m. Mass in the Basilica of the Sacred Heart

Marx was appointed as the Bishop of Trier in 2001, the oldest diocese in Germany. In 2007, Pope Benedict XVI appointed Marx as the Archbishop of Munich and Freising, a post which was previously held by the pope.
