A memorial Mass for John Riley-Schofield, visiting assistant professor of music, will be held Wednesday, September 21, at 4:00p.m. in the Basilica of the Sacred Heart on the Notre Dame campus. A reception will take place in 115 Crowley Hall following the Mass.
Riley-Schofielddied in a traffic accident near Edwardsburg, Mich., last week. A beloved and respected colleague,he joined the Notre Dame music faculty in 2002 and served as director of the Notre Dame Opera. He is survived by his wife, Britta Sporkmann, of Gelsenkirchen, Germany.
