General Information

The Arts and Letter Diploma Ceremony will take place at 2 p.m., following the University Commencement Ceremony on Sunday, May 23. Students will have staggered times to arrive at the North Tunnel (Rockne Gate).

A more detailed account of Arts and Letters Diploma Ceremony procedures, dates, and deadlines will be published as soon as possible.

Masking Protocols

The University recently published updated masking protocols for commencement weekend.

Students eligible to participate in the Arts and Letters Diploma Ceremony must register online. Deadlines and details are available here.

As is true for the University ceremony, each graduate will receive four guest tickets for their outdoor diploma ceremony. Information on how to reserve guest tickets will be distributed to graduates via the Office of the Registrar the week of April 19, 2021. Tickets are free but assigned to each graduate. All tickets will be electronic, scanned upon entry, and may not be sold, transferred, or duplicated.

If you are having issues with tickets please visit one of the ticket resolution booths anytime two hours prior to your ceremony for assistance so we can accommodate your request.

Ticket Resolution Booths

Guest ticket additions or changes (up to four tickets) may be made at the Ticket Resolution booths two hours prior to each ceremony gate opening time.

The commencement weekend ceremonies will be live-streamed. Recordings will also be available a few weeks after the event on the University's YouTube channel

Inclement Weather

In the event of inclement weather, diploma and hooding ceremonies will be moved indoors to either the Joyce Center or the Compton Family Ice Arena, with in-person attendance by graduates only. Distanced seating in these indoor venues will unfortunately not permit us to accommodate any in-person guests.
