Keeley Vatican Lecture: "The Catholic Church in the European Project"

-

Location: Eck Visitors Center Auditorium (View on map )

Paul Richard Gallagher is the Titular Archbishop of Hodelm and Secretary for the Relations with States within the Holy See’s Secretariat of State. Archbishop Gallagher was born in Liverpool and attended St. Francis Xavier’s College in Woolton. Throughout his life of service to the Catholic Church he has held positions in Tanzania, Uruguay, the Philippines, the Vatican Secretariat of State, and at the Council of Europe in Strasbourg. He also served as Papal Nuncio to Guatemala in 2009. In 2012 he was appointed the Papal Nuncio to Australia until Pope Francis appointed him to his current position.

The Nanovic Institute deepens Notre Dame’s connection to the Holy See by bringing distinguished representatives from the Vatican to Notre Dame to explore questions involving Notre Dame’s Catholic mission. Generously supported by Terrence R. Keeley since 2005, a lecture is chosen each year by the Institute in close consultation with its Advisory Board and the Notre Dame administration.

The lecture will be live-streamed on this website.  After the lecture, we will also post the video on our YouTube channel and Facebook page.

All are welcome.
