Workshop: Team Teaching

-

Location: 112-114 McKenna Hall (View on map )

Team teaching has the potential to have a profound impact on both teaching and learning. Many who have taught as part of a team report the break from solitary practice brings renewed excitement for teaching and the course that makes them better teachers. It also creates a learning environment in which students can explore multiple perspectives and ways of knowing. Of course, along with the benefits come many challenges. In this workshop, we'll learn from advice gleaned from the scholarship of team teaching in order to develop strategies to make the most of the opportunity.

Kathryn Plank, Director of the Center for Teaching and Learning and Assistant Professor of Education at Otterbein University, is the author of Team Teaching: Across the Disciplines, Across the Academy.
