Lecture: Fair Use in the Academic Environment - A Scholar’s Primer

-

Location: Andrews Auditorium, Geddes Hall (View on map )

Chances are you have quoted a book, scanned an article, requested something through interlibrary loan or document delivery, or used an image in a conference presentation. These are just a few examples of Fair Use as part of copyright law that we use and benefit from every day.

Fair Use Week, sponsored by the Association for Research Libraries (ARL), is February 20-24 and the Hesburgh Libraries will celebrate by hosting a lecture for faculty, graduate students, and advanced undergraduate scholars.

Join the Hesburgh Libraries and Associate General Counsel Tim Flanagan to learn more about Fair Use and why it is a fundamental building block of scholarship and a powerful and critical right.
