Third Annual International Crèche Pilgrimage

-

Location: Eck Visitors Center

The McGrath Institute for Church Life is hosting “The Friendly Beasts: Imagining the Animals at Christ’s Nativity.” Join the Notre Dame community for a pilgrimage through campus to view nativity sets from around the world on loan from the Marian Library at the University of Dayton.

The pilgrimage will move from the Eck Visitors Center through campus to the other displays and end at the Main Building.

Families welcome! Bring the baby Jesus from your home crèche for a blessing. Children are encouraged to dress as animals, shepherds, wise men, or the Holy Family.

The crèches will be on display in the Eck Visitors Center, the Morris Inn, Coleman-Morse Center, Main Building, Geddes Hall, and Hesburgh Library from November 28 to January 31. Visitors are encouraged to take self-guided tours of the crèches using booklets available at all exhibit sites.
