Lecture: Instability in the Post–Arab Uprising Era - What Will Tomorrow Bring?

-

Location: C103 Hesburgh Center for International Studies

The talk will discuss the endogenous and exogenous causes of the Arab uprising and the region’s instability in its aftermath. The aim is to understand the persistence of conflict and instability in the post–Arab uprising era by focusing on historical, political, and socioeconomic analysis and to envision scenarios that could bring stability and security to the region.

Hind Arroub, currently a Fulbright senior lecturer and scholar at Fordham University, is the Varieties of Democracy regional manager for North Africa.
