Medieval Institute presents Margot Fassler, Keough-Hesburgh Professor of Music History and Liturgy and Director of the Program in Sacred Music. In this lecture for the Liturgical Studies Colloquium, Fassler introduces the work she has been completing for the two-volume book: Liturgical Life and Latin Learning at Paradies bei Soest, 1300-1425: Inscription and Illumination in the Choir Books of a North German Dominican Convent (Aschendorff). This interdisciplinary study has been co-authored by a team of four scholars: Fassler, Jeffrey Hamburger (Harvard University), Eva Schlotheuber (University of Düsseldorf), and Susan Marti (Bernisches Historisches Museum).
