Journeying La Divina Commedia: Desert, Discovery, Song is an interdisciplinary performance and international Dante project supported by the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, with additional support from the Ann Stookey Fund for New Music,  the Institute for Scholarship in the Liberal Arts at Notre Dame, and  AUTODESK.

Performers include:
Dante: Fernando Araujo, baritone
Virgil: Matthew Goodrich, lead actor
Beatrice: Arwen Myers, soprano
and the singers of Notre Dame Vocale, ensemble actors from the department of Film, Television and Theatre at Notre Dame, and distinguished instrumentalists from the region.

Featuring international artists in collaboration with faculty and students from the University of Notre Dame’s Sacred Music Program, the William and Katherine Devers Program in Dante Studies,  and  the Film, Television, and Theatre Department, the International Dante Project and Journeying La Divina Commedia are part of the  Interdisciplinary Sacred Music Dramas at Notre Dame, a project of Sacred Music at Notre Dame and Notre Dame Vocale, directed by Professor of Music Carmen-Helena Téllez.
