ShakeScenes 2016

-

Location: Washington Hall

The kickoff weekend to each year’s Festival brings dozens of actors from throughout the community – neighbors and friends from age 6 to 86 – to the stage with their very own take on some of Shakespeare’s most beloved scenes. This year stomp the yard with Henry V. Watch “the force striketh back” as Star Wars meets Shakespeare and applaud the verbal acrobatics of Hamleton, a masterly mash-up of Hamlet and Broadway’s mega-hit, Hamilton.

Free performances on Saturday and Sunday, coordinated by director Christy Burgess, each offer a completely different series of ten-minute scenes that are sure to inspire and delight the entire family.

Note: Performances are free but require a ticket. To guarantee your reservation, please pick up your will call tickets at Washington Hall at least 15 minutes before your performance.
