October 4th is traditionally the memorial of St. Francis of Assisi. Pope Francis’ most recent encyclical, “On Care for our Common Home,” begins with words taken from St. Francis’ moving “Canticle of the Creatures.” The homily of today’s Folk Choir Mass by Rev. Kevin Sandberg, C.S.C., will focus on our responsibility to care for the gift of creation.
