The Cushwa Center for the Study of American Catholicism presents the 2015 Hibernian Lecture: “Blood Runs Green: The Murder that Transfixed Gilded Age Chicago,” by Gillian O’Brien.

O’Brien is a member of the history department faculty at Liverpool John Moores University in England. Her book, Blood Runs Green: The Murder that Transfixed Gilded Age Chicago, was published by University of Chicago Press in 2014.

The Hibernian Lecture: Each year the Cushwa Center invites one or more distinguished scholars to deliver a public lecture on some aspect of the Irish experience. In addition, the Hibernian Endowment occasionally supports other lectures at Notre Dame that pertain to the Irish experience in the United States.
