Beyond the Stage: Explore Love's Labor's Lost

-

Location: Regis Philbin Studio Theatre, DeBartolo Performing Arts Center

Join director West Hyler and members of the Notre Dame Shakespeare Festival’s Young Company for a one-evening-only, behind-the-scenes glimpse at Love’s Labor’s Lost.

As a Broadway-and-beyond director, Hyler’s career is nothing short of ascendant. He returns this year to direct the Young Company in Shakespeare’s delightful comedy Love’s Labor’s Lost and has already begun work on a new production for Cirque du Soleil. Best known for his productions with Big Apple Family Circus (which played at New York’s Lincoln Center and on cinema screens worldwide), Hyler has also directed on five continents with Jersey Boys, for which he also assisted Des MacAnuff on Broadway.

Following Hyler’s talk, members of the Young Company will perform highlights from the production. To conclude the evening, Hyler, along with Young Company designers and actors, will participate in a Q&A with the audience.
