The Department of Theology presents “Against the Law: Torah Polemic in Early Christianity.”

David Lincicum is a candidate for a faculty position in New Testament studies in the Department of Theology. He is associate professor of New Testament studies at the University of Oxford, and G. B. Caird Fellow in theology at Mansfield College.

He is the author of Paul and the Early Jewish Encounter with Deuteronomy, which received a Lautenschlaeger Award for Theological Promise. His research focuses on the intersection of early Jewish, early Christian and New Testament studies.
